The Talismanic Horseshoe Crab Cuff is a testament to the power and protection of Nature herself.
The legacy of the horseshoe crab links back to a time embracing dinosaurs, and though they look like prehistoric crabs, these beings with the hard exoskeleton and 10 legs for sea walking are really related to scorpions and spiders. The telson, or tail, is used to keep them safe, allowing the horseshoe crab to turn back over if it gets flipped upside down.
Horseshoe crabs have nine eyes throughout the body, with several light receptors near the tail. The two largest eyes are compound and useful for finding mates. The other eyes and light receptors are useful for determining movement and changes in moonlight. NEVER pick up a horseshoe crab by its tail.
The horseshoe crab’s tail is called the telson. It's long and pointed, and although it looks scary, it is not dangerous, poisonous, or used to sting. Horseshoe crabs use the telson to flip themselves over if they happen to be pushed on their backs.
Please be assured, no Creatures were harmed in the making of these powerful Cuffs and Pendants.
